boredom

 6:00PM

Today was a successful day in a couple aspects, and the day is still yet to finish.

I had the second interview for a sales position and a premium tent and tiny home company in Marietta. The interview was solid. I killed it. I am confident that I will receive an offer Friday, or Monday at the latest. The interviewer was the head of sales with the company, and he seemed to receive everything I put out there very well. I'm glad I finally have some confidence with the job outlook out here. Shit is seriously depressing, well has been, for quite some time.

The DJ world is definitely not all glitz and glamour as it's sometimes portrayed as. It's empty rooms, bombing sets, forgetting equipment, the list could go on in all the "bad" parts of disc jockeying. I read today that you aren't a real DJ unless you've thought about giving up a couple times. That statement is mostly true, as it isn't an easy career path. The career path part is what makes it tough.

Balancing the art of mixing while being a successful human being in the "real world" is a tricky one. I am literally just now after ~13 years beginning to understand that physical and mental health are so much related even in the music industry. I have finally started to take steps for my physical well being after the success of wrangling my mental health.

Mental health... If you told me in high school that I would be on a perpetual quest of finding clarity in a cloudy room that is mental health, I would not believe you. Life was so good, and then it wasn't. I will talk more on my walk with mental health in later blogs, in fact. I hereby promise to use my platform as an artist to advocate and bring mental health awareness to light in wherever I can.

What isn't depressing, is finally having hope in a finer tomorrow because of good job. With the ability to work a 9-5 and not sacrifice DJing, is such a brilliant outlook of the future.

I made a melody on twitch today, tbh I was proud how well it sounded in like an hour-- MELODY A DAY ✅
